On Wednesday 14th March SP Broadway hosted a Politics of Planning breakfast discussion with Cllr Simon Dudley, Leader of Windsor and Maidenhead Borough Council.
Among those attending the discussion were representatives from Pegasus, Boyer and Barton Willmore planning consultants, as well as guests from Berkeley Group, Child Graddon Lewis, WYG, Pinsent Masons, Pocket Living and Crest Nicholson.
During the discussion Cllr Dudley outlined his vision of Windsor and Maidenhead taking a robust approach to address its housing shortfall, and the need for new homes to support the arrival of Crossrail in the Borough next year.
Other topics discussed included:
- The future of Green Belt in Windsor and Maidenhead
- Affordable homes in the Borough to support young people employed locally
- The need for “infrastructure-rich” development
Warm thanks to Cllr Dudley and guests for their contributions to a fascinating discussion.
