Masterplan Options
Two potential design options have been prepared as an indication of what is possible and deliverable. The final masterplan will be informed by your feedback.
These masterplans illustrate how we envisage that around 100 new homes could be delivered with a range of enhanced landscape features and new community assets that integrate with the existing local community.
Masterplan Option A
This option includes a proposed multi-use sports pitch located in the north-east corner of the site. Landscaping features such as attenuation ponds, hedgerows, trees, allotments and a new community orchard are also shown.
A children’s play area and a possible community or mixed-use building are shown adjacent to Speed the Plough, which we hope would create an attractive gateway to the development.
Masterplan Option B
Another option is for the proposed multi-use sports pitch to be located in the southern part of the site, where it would be located adjacent to new changing rooms available for community use. The north-east corner of the site would be used to provide an area of parkland with a wildflower meadow.
The number of new homes would remain the same, albeit at a slightly higher density, and there would be a need to divert some of the existing public rights of way. New landscaping features, trees, attenuation ponds, a children’s play area and gateway community building suitable for a variety of uses would still be provided.
