Horsham Green Continuing Care Retirement Community

Who Is This Facility For?

Our facility is designed to help meet the growing care needs of people in Horsham District, particularly in its rural communities.  To live in these units, residents will have to be over the age of 60, and will need to have been assessed as a person needing care.In Horsham District, the number of people aged 65 and over is expected to increase by 36.7% between 2018 and 2031.  This would mean that in 2031, 28.4% of the overall resident population will be 65 and over, compared to 22.0% of the overall resident population in England as a whole.

The Horsham District Local Plan confirms that “the population of the district is ageing faster than the national average, and there is a need to plan for the specific needs of an increasingly elderly population, including a growing requirement for retirement homes, residential care homes and smaller units that meet the needs of the elderly”.

Our proposed Continuing Care Retirement Community can help to meet Horsham’s growing care needs, freeing up hospital beds and relieving pressure on local GPs.  Additionally, older people in Horsham District will have the choice to live in a facility that can meet their specific care needs whilst staying close proximity to family and friends.
