Update – January/February 2023
In July 2022 Lioncourt submitted a planning application to make improvements to Frilford Junction (P22/V1757/FUL) which was reported to planning committee in January 2023 with a following resolution to grant planning permission.
Lioncourt’s hybrid application (P22/VO248/0) is due to be determined at planning committee on Tuesday 14th February. You can see the agenda for this meeting here.
Update – January 2022
Lioncourt have resubmitted a planning application (P22/VO248/0) to the Vale of White Horse District Council which aims to address the reasons for refusal. Click here to view the planning application and documents.
Update – February 2021
Following determination of Lioncourt’s planning application by the Vale of White Horse District Council Planning Committee on 11th February 2021, planning permission was refused by the committee for the reasons recommended by Officers:
- Mitigation measures in relation to the A34 interchange junctions at Botley and Marcham
- Mitigation in relation to the Marcham Air Quality Management Area
- The level of financial contributions toward improvements at Frilford Junction.

Following refusal of the planning application, Lioncourt will now review the situation and decision by committee members before carefully assessing the most appropriate course of action over the coming months.
Update – November 2018

We have updated this website with more information about the range of infrastructure and community benefits we hope to provide, and an emerging phasing strategy that will allow the new relief road and homes to be delivered in tandem.
