Townfield Meadows

Welbeck Strategic Land has submitted a planning application to Chichester District Council for ‘Townfield Meadows’, a proposal to deliver new homes and community facilities on land to the south of Townfield, Kirdford.  

Ordinarily we would have presented these proposals to residents in-person, through a public exhibition in the village.  Due to the COVID pandemic that is unfortunately not possible at this time, so we have created this website so you can take a good look at the proposals from the comfort of your own home.

18 December 2020 Update:

In a letter posted to Kirdford residents on 14 December 2020 regarding Welbeck Strategic Land’s proposals for Townfield Meadows, Adam Robinson of SP Broadway stated that a meeting had been held between Welbeck Strategic Land and the Kirdford Community Land Trust in March 2020.  It has subsequently been brought to our attention that Mr Robinson’s choice of wording in that letter has created the impression that Welbeck’s proposals for the site have been formulated with the support of the Community Land Trust.  We would like to make clear that is not the case, and the Community Land Trust have not been privy to the formulation of Welbeck’s proposals.  We apologise to Kirdford residents and to the Community Land Trust for this error.

Welbeck Strategic Land was founded in 1994. We are not developers but land promoters, working in partnership with landowners to obtain planning consents on land which can then be sold to housebuilders.
