Townfield Meadows

We are committed to delivering a beautiful and well-designed place on the land south of Townfield.

Our approach began with the production of a ‘Pattern Book’, to understand better the existing built fabric of Kirdford.  This document incorporated the vision and objectives set out in the Kirdford Conservation Area Character Appraisal and the Kirdford Village Design Statement, and has been used to inform our proposals as they continue to develop.

Our 5-point ‘Quality Charter’ sets out our commitment to create a high-quality development on this site that responds properly to the existing character of Kirdford, incorporates robust and high quality materials and detailing, creates attractive streets designed to be real places, and promotes healthy lifestyles by providing enhanced walking and cycling routes across the site.

 

Using our Pattern Book, we have established four design principles to guide the layout of the proposals:

1. A network of green spaces and links

2. Safe routes

3. Movement & visual permeability

4. A sense of place
