Our Next Steps
We submitted an outline planning application for Townfield Meadows in February 2021. The council’s application number for this application is 21/00466/OUT, and you can view the application documents by entering the application number on the council’s planning applications search page.
Assuming our outline planning application is consented by Chichester District Council, we would then seek to sell the site to a housebuilder. That housebuilder would then need to submit a ‘reserved matters’ planning application to the council to agree a precise layout, housing designs etc, and secure consent for this from the council. Additionally, a condition is likely to be attached to our outline consent that will require the developer to prepare a Design Code for approval by the council, following the same principles as our Pattern Book.
Our track record demonstrates that the average period between our submitting an outline application to securing the first reserved matters approval is 2.8 years. We sell sites to reputable housebuilders who are proactive in their approach to delivery, and we anticipate that the homes would be completed and ready for occupation by 2025.
