Event Review: Online Roundtable with Andrew Taylor, Group Planning Director at Vistry Group

SP Broadway were delighted to welcome Andrew Taylor as the guest speaker for our latest online Politics of Planning roundtable.
Attendees from Hallam Land, Croudace, UK Land and Lovell, among others, all contributed to the discussion. Topics covered included the Planning and Infrastructure Bill, housing delivery, and the role of SME housebuilders.
Andrew gave an overview of Vistry, discussing the company’s recent history and mixed-tenure model, as well as elaborating on his own role within the company. Additionally, Andrew spoke about his role within the Royal Town Planning Institute, in particular his work as the Chair of the England Policy Committee.
There was discussion about affordable housing requirements, government attitudes to housebuilders, and neighbourhood planning. Conversations about topics such as mains water provision, housing associations and road adoption standards were also informative for guests.
Our thanks to Andrew and guests for attending and contributing to such an interesting discussion. Our next online roundtable will be with Cllr Ian Thorn, Leader of Wiltshire Council, on Wednesday 9th July 2025.
