Review: Virtual Politics of Planning Roundtable with Cllr Matt Boughton

SP Broadway was delighted to welcome Cllr Matt Boughton, Leader of Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council as the guest speaker of our latest online Politics of Planning roundtable.

Attendees from Barton Willmore, LSL Partners, Turley, and more all contributed to the discussion on planning in Tonbridge and Malling. Topics of discussion included the Tonbridge and Malling Local Plan, densification, and sustainability.

Cllr Boughton gave an insightful overview of politics and planning in Tonbridge and Malling, highlighting his ambition to bring forward a Local Plan that the community feel consulted on. Cllr Boughton also spoke about the need for infrastructure to be brought forward alongside development and the need for green construction methods to be included as policy in the Local Plan Review.

We would like to place on record our thanks to Cllr Boughton and guests for attending and contributing to such an interesting discussion. Our next online event will be with Cllr Kevin Collins, Executive Member for Planning and Regeneration at Central Bedfordshire Council on Wednesday 10th November. We also have an event with Cllr Andrew Johnson, Leader of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead on Thursday 2nd December.

If you would like to attend any of our forthcoming events, please email alice@spbroadway.com
