Review: Virtual Politics of Planning Roundtable with Cllr Kevin Collins
SP Broadway was delighted to welcome Cllr Kevin Collins, Executive Member for Planning and Regeneration at Central Bedfordshire Council as the guest speaker of our latest online Politics of Planning roundtable.
Attendees from Savills, Montagu Evans, Gladman, Dandara and more all contributed to the discussion on planning in Central Bedfordshire. Topics of discussion included the recently adopted Central Bedfordshire Local Plan, national planning policy, and housing need.
Cllr Collins gave an insightful overview of politics and planning in Central Bedfordshire highlighting his ambition to bring forward the right development that is supported by local infrastructure. Cllr Collins also spoke about politics on a local and national scale emphasising the importance of having achievable housing numbers for the area.
We would like to place on record our thanks to Cllr Collins and guests for attending and contributing to such an interesting discussion. Our next online event will be with Cllr Andrew Johnson, Leader of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead on Thursday 2nd December. We also have in the diary our first event for 2022 which will be on Tuesday 11th January with Cllr Chris Turrell, Executive Member for Planning and Transport at Bracknell Forest Council.
